Mission Report: 5-Day Clubs 2022

    Hello! This is Jonah Flynn of the Jonah on a Mission blog here to give you the 5-Day Clubs Mission Report of 2022! This past summer I taught 4 weeks of 5-Day Clubs with a total of 6 clubs. In this post, I will vaguely detail the summer in relation to 5-Day Clubs and will include a photo. Please enjoy!

    My first club was at two of my good friends' house. I taught with 4 other summer missionaries that week, two of which being said friends. We had quite a lot of kids this week, three being siblings of other summer missionaries, two being my mother's daycare children, and one even being a summer missionary from another chapter! This is also the only club I have a picture of to show y'all. Overall, it was a fantastic week and a wonderful club!

    My second club was at a campground, which was new for me. I taught with one missionary from the previous week and two I hadn't taught with yet. There were three kids the first day and two the remainder of the week, but it was still a load of fun! The hostess always had great snacks, which I thoroughly enjoyed. This club was great and would certainly be one I'd remember for a long time to come!

    My third week had two clubs! I taught with two missionaries from the first week, a different missionary, and a staff member who volunteered to teach. Our first club was at one of the missionary's house and was very enjoyable. Our second club, unfortunately, had no kids, but we helped our hostess do some yard work which she was very appreciative of. While our second club sadly never fully became a club, I'd still say that it was a great week regardless.

    My final week was two Away Clubs, which was a brand new experience for me! I taught with two missionaries from other chapters, and we stayed at a kind couple's home south of me in Minnesota. Both of our clubs were wonderful and had many great kids and wonderful hosts (whom, if they're reading this, maybe should pray about maybe forming a chapter down there)! The first club tended to float between 4 and 8 kids, while the second was between 18-22 kids. This week was amazing and certainly one of the most memorable weeks of clubs I've had thus far!

This summer was amazing! All 6 clubs were absolutely wonderful, my fellow missionaries were amazing, the hosts were awesome, and the kids were the best! My only wish is that I would've gotten to teach more. I will continue praying for all of those kids, hosts, and the families of the kids and hosts. In conclusion, this summer was fantastic and I thank you all for praying for me and CEF MN throughout it!
